Find the Answers

There are always a lot of questions when it comes to fitness. Below are answers to some of the most common questions I’ve received. There are obviously a lot more questions, so feel free to get in touch with me and ask away.

FAQ: FAQ

What types of fitness classes do you offer?

We offer a high variety of fitness classes ranging from low impact cardio to bodyweight strength training, to high-intensity interval training, with a splash of martial arts specific classes. Our workout programs change often, and we do our due diligence to find a style and program that specifically works best for that individual. Our goal is to put the “personal” in personal training.

How are you different from a regular trainer at a gym?

I'm all about the personal aspect of fitness. Getting fit, or in shape, or preparing for a particular sport requires much more than physically working out, it can be a mental, emotional, and spiritual rollercoaster. I'll be your personal "Wellness Coach", to help guide, push,  and motivate you to get to your goals and take your fitness needs to the NEXT level.

What types of home fitness equipment do you recommend?

I personally recommend utilizing your own body weight and a mat. Simple, easy, and something we all can work on and develop further to build healthy, strong, and fit bodies.

Do you charge extra for nutritional guidance and a diet plan?

I am not a Certified Dietician so I cannot tell you exactly what to eat and what not to eat, but I can refer you to individuals in that field and network. As a Certified Personal Trainer, I can provide guidance and structure around meals as well as providing education on nutrition and disease itself. We can also talk to your physician about recommendations for your individual body type and structure.

Where do you meet for personal training sessions?

1-on-1 personal training or selected group training is tentative. To work with Coach D physically, those individuals would have to go through a few preliminary qualifications first before being considered to move forward with in-person training. In-person training is only being conducted in the greater New Haven, Connecticut area at the moment but will be expanding as time progresses. Interested in moving forward? Fill out our contact form and we’ll be in touch soon!

As soon as I contact you am I signed up?

No, technically you just filled out the contact form. To sign up for our online and or in-person classes, after you filled out our contact form and expressed interest in working with us, a member of our team will contact you directly first. There, they’ll explain the onboarding process, pricing, and everything in between to move forward.

Is there a schedule for when you are holding group fitness classes, and how can I sign up for a class?

At the moment, there isn’t an official “schedule” for in-person group fitness classes (due to the state of the world currently), but we will have a schedule for online classes coming very soon. Please follow our Instagram and Facebook @getfitwithdemetrius for timely updates. You’ll be able to sign up through either social site as well, remember spots are limited so make sure you’re the first to Get Fit with Demetrius :)

How are you and your team handling COVID-19 and what precautions are you taking during this time?

Our team is handling COVID-19 as well as most of us are handling this pandemic and the current state of our world. We are doing our due diligence of maintaining an online presence to deliver our content as best as possible, while also adhering to state and federal guidelines for operating a fitness business during this time as well. If you have any particular comments, questions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via our “Contact” page and we’ll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
